Purpose & Mission - The Greater Bridgton
Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce is an organization of leading
businesses and professionals in the Lakes Region working together
to further economic development, community pride & civic
responsibility. The Chamber is a 96 year-old member-run organization
that honors the original principles of volunteer effort, community
spirit and business
development. As a volunteer organization, the Chamber works
to promote and develop the economic base of the Lakes Region
for the benefit of the entire community. Diverse parties and
interests ultimately come together in a cooperative effort
to offer options to its members and to accomplish what we
would not otherwise be able to accomplish as individuals.
What can the Chamber do for you - Our Chamber
of Commerce represents and promotes the area's business community.
It encourages both new and existing business development which
broadens the tax base and provides additional employment.
The Chamber is often the first contact an individual will
make when considering relocation or business options in the
Lakes Region. Using local, regional and statewide resources,
the Chamber works to create a positive pro-business environment.
Nationally, the Chamber
focuses on tourism and business recruitment. The Chamber of
Commerce is a strong and respected voice in the community
and in local government. It allows its members the opportunity
to network with other area businesses, providing numerous
member benefits and lending credibility to your business.
Through membership in the Chamber of Commerce, you are a part
of a regional effort to build a positive business environment
that contributes to the prosperity and economic vitality of
the Lakes Region. Membership carries with it a sense of accomplishment
and satisfaction from the knowledge you are doing your share
in an important job. Everyone in our communities benefits
from the work of the Chamber of Commerce, and you can enjoy
